The Law Library

Opening Hours

8.30am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Closed on Public Holidays.


  • Access to a browsing collection, with loans (other than loose leaf services) for use within the David Malcolm Justice Centre only.
  • Reference desk services.
  • Access to subscribed electronic resources available from computers located in the Law Library.
  • Photocopying and printing.
  • Document delivery and interlibrary loans.


The Law Library in the David Malcolm Justice Centre is located at 28 Barrack Street. Visitors are asked to report to Reception on Level 23.

The Library is a shared resource for the judiciary, government legal officers and members of the legal profession. It is not open to the public.

Members of the legal profession who wish to make regular use of the Library may apply for a Law Library Access Card.

Online access to the library catalogue is available via the library catalogue webpage.

Charges for Photocopying, Printing, Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loans

Library fees are prescribed by the Legal Profession (Law Library Fees) Rules 2017 and are set out in Part 2.

In order to make a payment, a pre-paid account must first be set up with The Law Library.
